The Damage

I've been very hesitant to put up pictures of the damage. This could very well be the reason we can't get it financed. The good news is.. it's only drywall. Drywall is cheap and easy to replace. And two windows. Those should be cheap too. It looks bad, I know. But it's the reason why we could actually get the house (and the no A/C thing, but the bank appears to be taking care of that for us.)

  1. drywall is really no biggie... now the windows - they aren't cheap, but if it's just a few that shouldn't be bad. It all looks workable :-)

  2. Let me know what the sizes of the windows are, and I will check out habitat, you can normally get pretty good deals on windows there, and they normally have a pretty large assortment.

Dan looked at the pics last night, and he doesn't think its going to be too hard to fix. We both think you guys did good, and that this home is a good investment. I think we have a washer if you guys need it, it's nothing special, but it works.

You guys should focus on the windows first, and do the drywall as you can... I would even get moved in, and fix the walls that you see the most (in your living areas), then slowly fix the rest.

    Good Job!

  3. I agree. Fix the windows, then get to the walls as you have time. You really only need a few rooms for now. Check out http://www.windowworldorlando.com/ They are a national chain and their 189 special is a great deal. Make sure you get energy star windows.

  4. I agree that the dry wall is not a big problem at the moment. Hell a year into it and my living room is still 2 different colors. Thats what happens when you have vaulted ceilings and your scared of heights. HA HA. It will come just when I decide that I have enough to pay someone to do it for me. ;)

Things will be tight, things that you didn't notice at first will be broken, but it's life and a years from now you will look back and laugh and realize that it wasn't so bad. BIG things like this make us who we are.

    Hang in there sweetie!
